Echo Park, Los Angeles
               

We assessed a property in Echo Park, Los Angeles for the feasibility of constructing a new detached ADU or main house addition.

The project goals focused on providing additional living and entertaining space, exploring the potential for new structures at the rear of the property, and supporting uses such as work space, guest accommodations, or potential rental.

The study proposed three options based on project goals, zoning regulations, and existing site conditions. Each option includes a Site Diagram illustrating the location and extent of physical and technical elements, and a Feasibility Estimate outlining anticipated construction costs, including labor, materials, permits, and consultant fees.

The three options range from a lower-cost addition to the main house to a single-story ADU and a larger two-story ADU, balancing cost, additional space, site work, and preservation of existing trees.
