We are offering pro-bono, pre-development services to homeowners affected by the 2025 LA wildfires.
The Community Rebuilding Response is a comprehensive pre-development program to guide homeowners through the complex process of rebuilding their homes and strengthening community resilience. The goal of the program is to provide holistic support —covering policy and advocacy, land use review, architectural design and drawings, permitting, and construction oversight—so residents can access and advocate for the resources they need at every step.
Our aim is to support communities that have historically faced discrimination in housing, inequities in the built environment, and challenges in building generational wealth, as well as barriers when accessing relief aid—all of which may put them at a disadvantage in their rebuilding efforts.

Our resident demographics include 48% African American, 24% Hispanic/Latino, 68% women-led households, and 50% low-to-moderate-income families. Over 60% face significant funding gaps, and without intervention, many risk permanent displacement.
Since the program's inception, we have connected with over 170 families, guided more than 100 homeowners through the rebuilding process, and partnered with approximately 10 community organizations. To date, we have completed 35 rebuilding processes and continue supporting 15 families, including those navigating permitting and construction.
