2025 - Ongoing

We supported the development of a nonprofit’s new headquarters.
We evaluated zoning and site conditions, developed an architectural strategy, and identified the permitting pathway to guide the building’s renovation and move it toward construction.
The goal of this project was to remodel both the interior and exterior of an existing building to create a new workspace and headquarters for Comunidades Indígenas en Liderazgo (CIELO), an Indigenous women-led, intergenerational organization, and to support their mission of bringing visibility and resources to Indigenous migrant communities.
To help advance these goals, we reviewed local zoning codes, policy incentives, and regulatory requirements to establish the site’s development standards, and conducted a constraints and opportunities analysis of the existing building conditions and site features.
We then developed architectural “best fit” strategies to maximize the property’s development potential while maintaining affordability, and identified permitting pathways and phased project configurations to support implementation.
The project has since received permit approvals, a contractor has been selected, and construction is now underway.
