Advocacy Director; SCANPH
Arianna Bankler-Jukes is the Advocacy Director for the Southern California Association of Nonprofit Housing. In this role, she works to design and implement advocacy strategies that engage and empower both the residents and developers of affordable housing throughout the Southern California region. Bringing in a decade of experience in both the public and nonprofit sectors, Arianna specializes in the intersection of effective public policy development, strong relationship building, and creative community engagement to advance equitable housing policies locally and statewide.
Prior to joining SCANPH, Arianna worked as the Deputy Director for the 2021 Los Angeles Redistricting Commission, where she synthesized, analyzed, and communicated the findings of over 8,000 public comments in order to develop a map that reflected and honored community needs. She also served as the Senior District Representative and Legislative Liaison for State Senator Nancy Skinner, focusing on issues such as criminal justice reform, homelessness, housing, and gun violence prevention.
Arianna holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from UC Berkeley. She was born and raised in LA and cares deeply about her community.
