We conducted a housing field scan of Los Angeles and created a designed research report detailing our findings.
To understand the impact and potential replicability of the Connecting Capital + Community (3C) initiative in LA, we conducted a field scan on the Los Angeles housing context in 2025, a case study analysis of similar models, and a framework for ongoing monitoring and evaluation to assess the model’s impact.
The Connecting Capital + Community (3C) initiative brings together cross-sector partners to advance novel housing solutions that address the racial inequities at the core of the housing ecosystem. Genesis LA convened a cross-sector coalition of nonprofits, developers, architects, and housing experts to identify opportunities to leverage new state housing policies to create homeownership in Black + Latino communities in South LA.
We produced a designed research report that will contextualize the project, identify similar impact-aligned efforts, define programmatic goals, document progress, and measure future impact.
